CRYPTOCURRENCY IS REDEFINING THE FUTURE OF FINANCE

Hello, WELCOME to cryptocurrencykip.com. Just to provide some background before you get started, prior to COVID-19, I knew and had heard very little about cryptocurrency within my circle of family and friends. Within the last few months of the COVID-19 outbreak I began hearing the terms cryptocurrency and bitcoin more and more frequently. This piqued my curiosity, which lead me to doing a little research on it. What I found was that a key if not the most important feature of a cryptocurrency is the fact that it is not controlled by a central authority. Cryptocurrency has truly started redefining the future of finance. Articles regarding Crytocurrency and in particular Bitcoin are no longer buried in financial publications or business sections of notable business publications and/or websites, the articles are now front and center and plentiful. Governments around the world are hurrying to put into place legislation and regulations to allow or make it easier for companies to carry out initial coin offerings (ICO’s) or token issuances. I read recently that Visa and MasterCard are taking major steps to venture into cryptocurrency.

As a result of all of this I wanted to develop a platform to help those that are interested in learning more about Cryptocurrency but don’t know where to begin. On this website, you will learn a brief history on how cryptocurrency came to be, important elements related to cryptocurrency, common terminology used and links to helpful videos. The content will continue to grow and evolve as time goes on. Although cryptocurrency has been around since 2009, it is still in its infancy stage and evolving rapidly. As I find and/or learn of new information that will be beneficial I will add it to the website, so I encourage you to check back often. — Christopher Colbert
